SharedMemory

Yes Symbian will support shared memory but from series 60 8.0a onwards. I'm currently looking for whether symbian supports FIFO method in inter process communication or not. Could you reply my post if you know about it.

Inter Process Comunication(IPC) mechanisms

In order to overcome such limitations and enrich the IPC mechanisms to support more paradigms of component interactions Symbian OS now (from Version 8.0) adds the following:
� Publish & Subscribe
� Message Queues
� Shared Buffer I/O
