technically it should work. Check a detailed discussion here
I hate to break it to you guys, but I've had a chance to play with Tiger and sadly the Nokia 6630 does not work 😞 The reason I'm here is because I was looking for some answers...
Now, I tried to be clever and I dug about inside the iSync application. I found the property list where all the phones are defined, and copied the entry for 6600 and changed that to 6630. iSync then recognised the phone and was able to pair up - but the bluetooth setup assistant still won't allow the phone to be used for linking to the address book (for SMS and dialling).
The new iSync works by sending a Java app to the phone, which you have to run in order for iSync to communicate. So, I managed to get this Java app installed and running on the phone - but no dice. iSync just refuses to communicate with it. So near - and yet so far.
SO it seems that Apple have 90% of the work done in order to support this phone. My only worry is that with the 6630 being a non-US model they won't bother doing that last 10% 😞
Nokia really need a kick up the ass and get supporting the Mac more. It seems Apple have done almost all the work for them - iSync is a great app. If Nokia just gave them a bit of help, everybody would be happy...
Maybe what they have now is, precisely because of Nokia's help already (and they just need to finish the job to support more/newer models)?
If you find a Solution Please immediatly e-mail me! THX
Gee4orce, I think you had the right idea but messed up just slightly. Instead of copying the entry for the 6600 (old style mRouter syncing), copy the entry for one that uses the same synching method as the 6630. I believe that the version of iSync in Tiger is meant to support the 7610. Try copying that entry instead.
Here's hoping that works...........

I have received my copy of Tiger today (no not from the shop), will install it tonight and let you all know. I think as suggested already you might wanna use the prefs from 7610 for iSync, same reason as already described above.
This should be a minor issue since apple will update the list in the next update. I am holding postive hopes.

Ok people. BAD news for now..
it appears iSync will not sync any devices using a higher version series6b. Here is the proof:
<key>com.nokia.6630</key>
<dict>
<key>Identification</key>
<dict>
<key>com.apple.gmi+gmm</key>
<string>Nokia+Nokia 6630</string>
</dict>
<key>InheritsFrom</key>
<array>
<string>com.nokia.serie60v2.0</string>
</array>
<key>Services</key>
<array>
<dict>
<key>ServiceName</key>
<string>com.apple.model</string>
<key>ServiceProperties</key>
<dict>
<key>ModelName</key>
<string>6630</string>
<key>PhoneIcon</key>
<string>NOK7610.tiff</string>
</dict>
</dict>
</array>
</dict>
I changed the above code from 7610, but seeing as 6630 doesnt use the same series 60 software as 7610. The java installer supplied does not support anything higher than 6b. we will have to wait for an update.

Quick followup with the proof ... I've just installed Tiger & the 6630 still isnt natively supported - gutted! :'(
