[7650] - Ringer Volume When Using AMR / WAV / MIDI

6 replies · 5,054 views · Started 01 November 2002

As you have all no doubt noticed already, when selecting a ringtone for a particular profile, the preview volume is much louder than the actual ringtone volume when you receive a call.

Is it possible to program the actual ringtone volume to be the same as, or even louder than the profile preview?

This would save me from missing so many calls, especially when I am working in a noisy environment. And I just can't bring myself to use any standard Nokia ringtones, christ, whenever I here them I want to grab the offending phone and lodge it in a wall from great distances, GRRR!

😃 😃 😃

If anyone could even just lead me down the right path to developing it myself, I would give it a bash. Unfortunately I am yet to get my feet wet with Java / Symbian coding 😞

Thanks for reading,

Tsu

Use .WAV, it's much higher, especially when you increase the original file's volume from the pc, then when it goes to your 7650 it's pretty hearable, (or really hearable!)

Cut mp3's then change their quality to a lower one for less space.

upponalle,

The reason I posted in the developers forum, was in the hope that a developer with the knowledge of symbian programming would be able to provide a program that raises the volume above the designated maximum.
