OPL and Nokia 9300

I just downloeded and installed the OPL runtime.
As far as I know it has to be the 9500 runtime package.

but still I cannot get any opl program to run.
Example: FExplorer
It simply says NOTE / System: Unable to find the specified object. :frown:

What am I doing wrong. Has anybody a solution for this?
Cheers
Kristo

FExplorer? That's not an OPL app, but a Series 60 app which is not compatible with Series 80 (Communicators).

Very excited with this opl runtime for the 9300, having installed and ignored the message that that says "not compatible", it still would not recognise .opo programs let alone .aif or .app developed on the netbook. However the demopl could run and send emails, that was consolation. Downloaded Nokia 9500 OPL users package v1.53 , there is none that is for Nokia 9300. This seems to have same problem as 9500 hence I post here.

The OPL applications that are compatible with the 9500/9300 are usually compiled as .SIS files. OPL apps made specifically for the Netbook etc. are not compatible.

Thank you Raven for the advice, this will send me off reading how to compile as .sis which were ignored earlier -obviously, wrongly presumed that this sis was merely to facilitate ease of installation.
Noticed the developer pack for Series 80 or 9300 not available, so have to revert to the netbook to modify the OPL for screen size and toolbar. Sis complilation have to be done on the 9300 but that have to wait.

Regards 🙄

After all failed, went over to the forbidden system directory to see what's missing, found opl.app and click to run-> error message opl.opo modules not found. That must be why other OPL was not running. However the demopl ran. Would stray away for sis for now until this basic bottleneck resolved.

Thank you for the warm welcome. Looks like going to be here for awhile before there are answers. Perhaps that's the fun part, everyday is a learning experience. Great to have dedicated group for OPL , I am delighted.

There were no answers from the other forum so I posted one instead.

Tsungwei,

Have a look at EventCore which is an example OPL app, available from Freepoc.org if I remember correctly.
