can you get aim on n-gage qd???

You can use agile messenger on your n-gage qd, thats what i use. It's freeware and you only have to pay for gprs charges. You can get it on www.agilemobile.com

Yeah, Agilemessenger will do the trick. In addition to AIM, you can also use yahoo messenger and ICQ along with it.

Yup, through Agile Messenger, like the other people said. It's totally free, get it from this page (make sure you download the correct version):

The running costs are close to zero. I leave mine on all day and it only uses about 4k of data which costs almost nothing. Even if you chat, because it's just text it adds very very little to your GPRS bill. It's a LOT cheaper than text messages, I never use them any more if I know someone has messenger on their computer or phone.

Here's a photo of it running on my QD. Notice that you can log in to AIM, Yahoo, MSN and ICQ all at the same time, you can even send and receive pictures, receive voice messages and use smilies:
