hey all, really stuck on installing the nokia pc suite on windows xp......
Recently upgraded my phone from the 7610 to the 6630... I had no problems being able to install the pc suite before and synchronisin it with the old phone but now when i try to install the pc suite i get a fatal error msg.....
When installin the pc suite it goes past the install shield wizard.....agree to license.....choose folder......etc..etc.... then installation begins...
past publishing contents....
past writing systems registry etc....
past registring COM apps etc....
THEN...
POP UP.....
'Error 1935. An error occurred during instalation.'
'Microsoft.MSXML2,PublickeyToken="6bd6b9abf345278f,"version="4.20.9818.0'"type="win32,processorArhitecture="x86".
Any1 hav any idea how to get past this???!!!!!!!! 😡
It then rolls back action...??!!
and pops up FATAL ERROR 1603
Its really begginin to bug me cos i can use the phone to its full use, so if any 1 can suggest anything i would highly appreciate it!

Ok 2 things to try, Make 100% Sure that the previous version has uninstalled completely, if so then Do you have SP2 For XP installed? if not install it, just as an idea for you :P Hope thats of some help.

i have the same problem and went through the process of uninstallin sp2 cos ppl sed that was my problem, i now no it dont work with sp2 or without 4 me, and its the 1st time i installed pc suit so its nothin to do with me havin it on there already, i then googled the error message and i figured it out that the problem is because i have netframework1.1 but as im not so good with computers i didnt want to fiddle about with it and uninstall it so ive left it and bought a card reader! if ne1 nos if it is safe to uninstall it plz say :icon14:

so.....installled sp2 and got rid of all previous pc suite info went to load it on again and its the same msg.....
Gonna hav to go with the card reader idea. Im not that knowledgable on the pc front so are they pretty strightfoward to use and can i pick up a decent one(which will read all cards) for about 20-30 pound!
There's an updated 6.5 PC Suite now on http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite (original was 6.5.10 and now it is 6.5.12). Don't know if it helps any.
