6600 "Memory full" and now dead

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here and I am sure I will get precise guidance for the same.

A few days back in the morning on my 6600 I got a message on the screen saying something like "Memory is full" so I tried to go into the menus and delete some pictures / anything but it would show me teh menu screens but not let me further...so i decided to restart the phone thought maybe in a hung state.

On doing that now it does not start up at all it shows me the white NOKIA screen and stays there forever.

Can anyone please guide me I am not good at phones at all. Can I fix this problem.

I appreciate everyones time and effort in advance.

cheers

Will I need to reload some OS onto the phone ?

Will I need some special cables as it does not startup completely ?

Please advise.

I had exactly the same fault on my 6600. I returned it to the phone shop as it was still under warranty, the phone was sent off for repair but it could not be repaired. A new handset was provided which failed three months later (joystick stopped working)

Sorry for the bad news Huzaif

have you tried a master reset on the handset. This can be achieved by switching on the fone whilst holding down the "Green+star+3 keys" keep this held until the screen says formatting.. If it will do this then that would probably solve the problem. :icon14:
