Is anybody using skype ?

what is this, I heard that we can make free calls through internet via using this software. is it true ?

Can I make calls from UK to India land line , FREE ?

Please guide.

Calls are free to other Skype users (except for your internet access costs, of course), but SkypeOut (to real phones) and SkypeIn (allowing calls from real phone users to Skype) costs money. Read more on http://www.skype.com
