Nokia 7710 and syncing to a Mac (iSync?)

4 replies · 7,277 views · Started 28 April 2005

Having just purchased a 7710 I want to sync to my Mac. I know that iSync doesnot support the Nokia 7710 and thought i might be able to work around it. Does anyone know if there's a possibility that I will be able to sync in the future - otherwise I will have to send it back.

I've tried a to find out more - but am starting to draw a blank...

Check out http://haligon.blogspot.com/2005/05/tiger-isync-and-nokia-communicators.html for the general instructions, but use the following text (match the indenting from the file when you open it) for your key instead of the cut and paste instructions.

I'm also looking into the Nokia 7710. I have Mac OS 10.3, no option for Tiger (my comp is too old)... Now I've been reading that the way to install software on the Nokia is by using PC Suite and clicking the .sis file. How would I do this on the Mac?

Simply end the .sis file to the phone over Bluetooth. I don't have a Mac, but it is simple and easy on a Windows PC, so it must be super simple and super easy on a Mac. 😉

Or use an USB card reader.
