Hallo to all, i'm new in this forum.
I got a problem with my MMCmobile just bought.
I tested it with e mmc card reader and it works, i copied all the programs that i had on the original one, i put it in the phone and i works very well.
The problem happens when i try to install other programs using the nokia application installer.
When i try to install a .sis file the phone got the error "Impossible read data..." and then it resets.
I tried to install the same .sis file on the original memory and it works fine.
So i tried to format the 256 MB with the nokia built in tool, and it worked, but when i tried again to install any program it got the message error "Impossible read data..."
I don't know what to do...
Any help?
The memory is this one

Problem with a Kingston 256 MB MMC RS DV
I have the same (I think) 256MB Kingston MMCmobile.
Copied all files from old card using PC based card reader to PC and then to new card (used XCOPY command with switches /S /V /C /F /H /K).
Seems to work fine.
Then I used PC Suite 6.5.12 (http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite) and its "Application Installer" to install apps. On the phone, selected to install them on the memory card.
Worked OK, too.
Then I used the "Phone Browser" to copy a .sis file to the memory card and started the installation on the phone with FExplorer (http://www.gosymbian.com) and again installed on the memory card.
All still OK.
This on a 6680.
May be a silly question but have you inserted the MMC all the way in.
Was given a pone with a simular problem to fix and all it was is that the mmc was not pushed in far enough into the phone, it has to click into place,
Otherwise the mmc will read but not write, try taking a picture and save it to mmc, do you get the same error?
My thumbs are too fat to push it in so i use a pen to push it in just that little bit further so it clicks in.
good luck
