Text messaging (SMS) problems on Nokia 6600

I have recently bought a 6600 that was originally on the Orange (uk) network but is now unlocked. I am using an o2(uk) sim card.

I have encountered a problem with the SMS function that I hope someone can help me with. Although I have input all of my contacts into my phonebook, when I receive an SMS from one of them, instead of displaying their name in the inbox it just displays their number - this is driving me mad as I have to search for the number straight after to see who sent me the message!

I would greatly appreciate an answer to my problem. Thanks

i think its something to do with where the txts are being saved.also make sure that the person aint in your phone book twice.

This happened to me too,i got a txt from a number time ago and the sim card changed owners so i changed the name in my phone book and the txt in my inbox just appears as the number.

Try looking around on ere cos theres been discussions about it loads.1
