hi there, some questions about the new nokia suite 6.5.
First of all, where can I get free midi-files in the correct format. The new nokia pc suite says that I use 'unsupported midi files'? Basicly, I converted a wav to a midi (from monty python - incoming message for you sir). Appearantly something went wrong but I really dont know what.
Secondly: I'm using symbian on my mobile but noticed others are using windows xp or some kind of windows. Is there a way to backup the symbian from the mobile phone so I can try this win xp thing out AND change back to symbian afterwards?
tnx!!
MIDI is like electronic sheet music specifying instruments to play certain notes, etc. It is virtually impossible to convert MP3, WAV, AAC, etc., to MIDI, as no converter today can reliably pick up and differentiate individual instruments from such an audio file. Also, human voice (singing, speech) can't easily be converted to MIDI sounds either (unless you can make a piano or a violin or some other MIDI instrument sound like someone singing/speaking).
There are mobiles based on the Windows CE operating system (in the form of "Windows Mobile for Smartphones" or "Windows Mobile for PocketPCs"😉, but you can't switch a Symbian phone to it, or vice versa (make Windows Mobile run Symbian).
