Auto Time and Date Update with Sendo X on T-mobile USA

Hi,
I am new to the forum. I wanted to know if anyone with the Sendo X has had any problems regarding the auto time and date update on T-mobile USA. I contacted sendo and they told me to do a hard reset on my phone and ask t-mobile to text me the auto update settings to my phone, but nothing has worked. Any thoughts would be greatful.

Auto time / date update was an original Nokia feature, which Sendo told me didn't work too well...if you update your phone to the latest firmware (highly recommended) then the option will actually disappear from the menus.

Thanx. I was wondering why i had to reset the time while travelling. When i had contacted Sendo they said that my sim had not been updated for those settings to appear. What you have said makes more sense as when i did do the software update that setting dissappeared.

Yep, I was originally told it should never have been in the Sendo firmware anyway, the fact that it was was an accident.

Well thats bad cause thats one feature i would like since i travel around alot. Its a pain to set the time all the time. By the way is there gonna be any new firmware upgrades.

Yes there will be more firmware upgrades - the next is due fairly soon (and it looks nice, I've seen it 😊) - auto update won't re-appear though.

Thats good there will be more updates. I thought that after the X2 comes out they would not update the original X. Its too bad that the new firmware will not include that feature. Is there a way to force them to add it on, or its gonna have to bea new phone for me. Although i do like the X. 😊

I'm fairly certain you won't get this feature added back in - it was apparently not meant to be included anyway, but slipped in to a couple of the early versions.

From memory though, if you use some of the Psiloc applications (such as world map) they have the menu option for auto-update built into them, so should be able to re-enable the feature.
