Sync 3230 to Palm Desktop

Hello,

I have just bought a 3230 and this is my first symbian smartphone. I have been using Palm Desktop for all my contacts and calendar needs. Is there a way to synchronize the calendar and contacts in my Palm Destktop software with my Nokia 3230?

Do I need special software, or do I need to change to a new PIM program other than Palm Desktop. Any advice or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

OK...so there is any other 3rd party software that will allow me to do this? Or do I have to ditch Palm Desktop and use another PIM to synch between my desktop and my symbian phone?

I really would rather not use a Microsoft product or Lotus Notes.

There must be another alternative.

I've been using an app called PocketCopy for years now which dumps all my Palm Desktop data into Outlook. PC Suite can take it from there...

PocketCopy is a useful but primitive app - it's a data dump, not a sync. I have absolutely no use for Outlook other than as a waystation between Palm and the 3230, so I wipe out all my Outlook data and start from scratch each time.

If you want to actually sync with Outlook there's another app from the same peeps called PocketMirror, but it's more complicated - and expensive (I think it's $30 vs. $15??)

You can check these out for yourselves at the developer's site (chapura.com) or the usual suspects like Handango, PalmGear, ...
