Hi,
I just brought a NCP 512mb rs-mmc card today, when i plug it in then it can work at 1st but after i try to format it then it seem hang. so i take out batt and start my hp again then it said "memory card corrupted" and ask me for format the card. however, when i formatting the card, it seems hang again. got the "formatting memory card process bar" come out but it didnt hv any process at all.

does it normal? izit it nid to wait for very long time for formatting 512 card? or somethings wrong? for me it just look like hangs there...

anyone pls help me!! thank you.

Sounds like a bad/incompatible card. Do you have a PC-based card reader where you could try reformatting it (FORMAT d: /FS:FAT)? If not, return in and try another brand (ATP, Kingston, TEC, SanDisk,...).

but before i tried to format the card, it can detect the card and i can use seleQ to browse the card.(of course is empty inside) and it show 490mb free space.

how come only after i format the card then got problem. i don't have pc-based card reader.

solved. i borrow a card reader and format it then ok already. which mean my hp cant format the card.
