irda problem

hi there,
i cannot send files from my Omnibook xe3(xp home ed) to my 9210 ,through wireless link-"requested adress is not valid in its context"error.
any ideas for help?

p.s. i have not intalled pc suite on my laptop

I have this problem also. I have PC Suite installed but can't get it to map to the irda port on my Advent laptop, which ONLY has USB and no serial plug ports like the plug necessary for the 9210i cable.

I think it might be something to do with the IR protocol. I think we both need 'ir-tran-p' protocol or something like that, rather than just straight irda.

Has anyone got PC suite working over irda? If so, how did you map the serial port?

I've got it working on a old win98 laptop (it's so slow that the connection times out when it is trying to load the icons 😉 )

But no go with XP.
