I have recently purchased this cable from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=42402&item=6393831173&rd=1&tc=photo and now it's arrived I can see it isn't the correct one.
From what I have read on forums, it appears there is a special cable that allows for the power lead to be plugged in at the same time, which then allows for the flashing of the phone?
Can anyone tell me or send me a link to which cable I would require?

Its the cable that comes as standard with the a925 and a1000 as far as i am aware. ive got loads from all my previous phones. I'm happy to post you one if u cover the postage costs.
Im a newbie to flashing could you maybe tell me what software i would need. ive got the right cable and ive founds loads of firmware. i just don't know anything about software, from what i have seen everybody that asks about flashing on these forums already knows this.
where can i download the new firmware for my phone? I am at the U.S.
