ok, nokia mentioned that BB connect would be released in 1Q 2005. its now past 1Q and no signs of any BB connect for 9500.
has anyone have more info on this topic, or gotten an early version of BB connect for 9500 yet?
thanks!

At CeBit 2005, they said that BB functionality would be delayed until Q2. My wild guess: it will be made available in the next 3 weeks along with a firmware update.
Ok this is getting tiresome, pretty soon those of us that need blackberry capability are going to have to get one from someone else. Does anyone have a clue when Nokia might release the blackberry connect stuff?
but u would yet need to pay for this service from either your service provider or nokia, is that correct. Otherwise who will PUSH you emails to you?
in that case, i yet prefer using Profimail through which it PULL's my emails every 15mins.
I'm very hapy with that.

Indeed, cheaper and simpler to stick to Profimail or my own freeware Automail (plug, plug) 8-)
Steve
my own freeware Automail (plug, plug) 8-)I plug this everywhere...especially when talking to customers 😉
I was under the impression that the operators will be providing the application...they do afterall provide the BIS (web service) and also supply the BES servers to the customers? Without these they cannot actually use the device for push email....

My company provides the blackberry service. My understanding is that Nokia have to enable the Blackberry Service on the phone with a Blackberry Connect Client and then your provider has to support blackberry connect. In the FAQ's on the Nokia site they actually talk about the service working with the phone, but the Blackberry connect client isn't available anywhere.
