Not sure if the device is relevant, but I have just purchased my 9300, and am trying to install PC suite on my work pc, and have the following questions:
1) I cannot install PC suite and get the following error: 1608: unable to create installDriver instance, return code: -2147319784 . This seems to prevent the whole installation - any solutions?
2) Also, as it is my work pc, is there anyway to just install the syncronisation module of PC suite? this is all i need as i can easilly bluetooth files if necessary, and use my home pc for back, everything else. This might also get round the error in one above.

Thanks, i had stumbled across these, but was unsuccessful - being a work computer, I'm resonably limited on what i can do to remedy problem.
Any thoughts on my second query - can you get the components of PC suite seperately?

No, PC Suite is distributed only as a single installation package and the bits and pieces are not available separately.

So you caved in and got yourself a 9300 😊 I thought you were leaning toward the 650! I'm really interested in knowing why you chose the 9300 over the 650 if you don't mind, and if you can give us a fair comparison (for the PDA at least).
BTW, I believe you need to have admin privileges to install PC suite. So if you are using Domain Controllers and policies at your work and your privileges are somewhat limited you'll need to have someone from your company�s IT to assist in the installation.

I wish I could say that it was a thouroughly informed decision (the fact that I cannot load my sync software whows that!!) but i always rated my old psion device over my palm - symbian seemed a so much more sensible os than palm.
I didn't use a great deal of the palm freeware that was available, and i prefered the form of the 9300 over the 650.
Anyway, i'll probably now carry my T3 to work (after recovering it from my girlfirend), BTsync with my work pc, again at home, and THEN sync my 9300 to ensure my work diary and PDA diary match....
If i have further thoughts, explanations, I'll add them...
