Hi. If you use your Sendo X enough, you might get lucky! The Now! panes are not stable. They disappear without warning, until you decide you want it back. This then calls for a "5" key reset of your sendo X.
.
For those who want sensible advice - the Now screen is very difficult to remove as it is an integrated part of the OS. Quite often when the OS is being described on a Sendo X, it is called Series 60 1.2 with Sendo Enhancements. This is a reference to the Now screen.
Just out of curiousity, why do you want to ditch it? There may be an alternate solution..

And for the others - Now! is not unstable, it's very rare for anything to go wrong with it, and you don't need to re-format the phone to get the default panes back.
I was afraid it was not going to be easy.
The reason I want it to go is because i prefer a plain idle screen with a nice background with nothing on it, the now screen looks messy in my opinion, ugly icons etc... .
Do you guys think if I send an request for an option to disble this Now screen to sendo they will look into it??
Thx for the replys so far guys, really appreciate it!

Sendo won't look into it for you - Now! is one of their big "value add" sellers for the X and X2. (most people find it very useful)
What you could do, is make a new pane with no content, that way you'd get a blank screen with just your background in it 😊
Hi,
Thx stuclark I never thought at that one, some nice thinking there :icon14:
Thx for the tip! 😊

and in theory this will be improved when (ahem we've been waiting a while) the details of making editing now screens come out.
It's improved with X2 too - there's a *load* of Now! enhancements in that handset 😊
Weird that Now! pane in my Sendo X's homescreen just killed itself, just like many other applications, for no reason!
After switching my X off and on, the pane-in-the-ass just disappeared.

This is what I am talking about. I can't honestly say any one thing is reliable about this phone except for problems. Time to use the "5" key reset to get it back and functional. WHAT A PANE!
