😡
I have my phone for 6 month now and for a month now, the problem started...Every night i put my phone in the craddle for the whole night, i unplugged it in the morning (the battery is fully charged) but my battery does not last more than 12-13 hours. Even when i don't use the phone alot (5 minutes of talk time and a few minutes of wifi, bluetooth is off). What is wrong with my battery???
What's wrong with my battery
I'd suggest completely draining your battery a few times to see if that might help. If not, you should try to get a new one. Should be covered by the warranty me thinks.
WiFi is a real battery killer. If you really dont use it that much, I suggest you turn off the "polling" (control panel - connections - Wireless LAN - settings tab -select "never" from background scan interval.
This helps a bit for me.
Other real drainer is when you use GPRS a lot (f.ex. multiple PIM syncs during the day or a lot of Inet use).
Hi,
I had about the same problem with my 9300's battery life.
It was good for a few months (lasteda few days on a fully charged battry) and then all of the sudden it was poor: I now have to charge it twice a day (charging takes approx. 1 hour).
The decrease in battery life was sudden, not gradual. It doesn't seem to get even worse than it is now.
I tried the following to "fix" it (but none of these worked):
- switch off bluetooth
- switch off infrared
- switch off modem
- switch off telephone (swith off and close cover)
- no "cell broadcast"
- remove MMC (128MB card with SettingsWizard and ProTourGolf) from the 9300
- Format it (made a full backup first); even the newly formatted 9300 (without restoring the backup) drained in half a day. The newly formatted 9300 doesn't have my calander alerts etc.
- new battery: I got a brand new official Nokia BP-6M battery: battery life seems identical to the "old" battery (so that battery wasn't bad after all)
I now have a charger in my car (sigaret lighter plug), but this device can't be the source of the problem; I only got the car charger after the battry problems started. I also never use the desktop cradle. I only used the ACP-12E charger (supplied with the 9300 package) to charge my 9300.
Does anyone have similar problems? Does anyone know more "tricks" to fix it?
