The worst thing happened to my phone just last night. My memory card got corrupted!!!

Here is the whole story. I'm replying to my friend's message. When i hit send, an SMS from my friend came in and the phone says "Saving message to drafts" instead of sending my message. When i go to inbox, there is an unread SMS from my friend with asterisk on it's side. I tried to open it but nothing happens. I hit the close all button (the red one on the right, also it's the button to end the call). The phone displays "1 message received". I hit open but still nothing happens. Then i hit menu then messaging and the phone displays "Unable to access memory card. Phone memory will be used." Back then, i remember that i set my messages to be stored on memory card. That's why i can't read the new mesage. I tried restarting the phone and removing the memory card but nothing happens. I go to "Memory" and it says "Memory card corrupted." It's asking me if i want to format the MMC but i don't want to coz' i don't have a backup of all the applications and games stored in it. Is there any other way to get all the apps that are stored in the MMC before formatting it? Please help me.

If you have a card reader, copy all the photos, video clips and everything you can from the memory card onto the PC. After, you'll have to format it. Sorry...

Use a pc card reader to format it then format it in the phone, this will sort it!
