I have recently got a nokia 6600 and need some truth, i am trying to find out several things......

a. does the nokia 6600 play java games in jar files.
b. do i need to install specific software on my phone to be able to play the games
c. does anyone know if there is any mp3 playing software available for the nokia 6600

any help on any of these matters would be of great joy to me

a. Yes, as long as the .jar files contain compatible MIDP 1.0 or MIDP 2.0 Java games.

b. No.

c. Yes; ReadM, OggPlay, UltraMP3, MP3Go, etc. Note that they will all play in mono, though.

The ever helpful N/A strikes again!

Personally I would recommend looking at OggPlay first.

With the jar file you do need to make sure they are intened for your phone. Although the phone will often be able to use jar files targetted for other phones you may not get an optimum user experience (key placement, use of full screen etc. etc.)
