Does anyone know of any RPG games for the 7650.
is anyone planning any, may be sumthing like zelda or final fantasy!
RPG game for the 7650?
Dude we are talking about a phone with only3.6 mb in it...and you want an RPG. It realy would not fit into the memory man. well you might be able to put like 15 minutes of gameplay and then boom....memory low will hit that reality...Sorry to break the bad news to ya dude.
anthony,
the game would not necessarily need to be like final fantasy CCXXII with 3d graphics and such. Have you ever played final fantasy 1 on the original nintendo 8bit? or final fantasy 4 on snes?
those machines have (probably) less than 100kb of memory, so it is not impossible to write similar games to the 7650.
Then care to explain why working RPG's were around for the Psion Series 3a with 512K of memory? I'm sure if someone put their mind to it, it would be easily doable in a Gamboy Zelda type way.
i've played final fantasy 1, and that couldn't of been that big.
I didnt mean sumting wid 3d graphics and movies, jus a simple game.
maybe a little like zelda
im no developer but im sure it can be done?
I read about some RPG in development for 7650, but cant remember
which company was making it, or anything. Found it with google though.
Just waiting for it to be released.
Nethack (Unix RPG) wouldnt be too big... Im sure I have seen tiny version that run in about 300K.
the best RPG out there the final fantasy 3 (or 6 in the usa) is 3MB
with a little work they can do it..
Rings looks rather promising, although it isn't native Symbian but only J2ME. Currently there's no Series60 optimized version planned, but with J2ME it would be likely to be playable on it, too. Hope it won't need any Motorola-specific APIs...
Some pics can be found here.
it looks pretty nice..
but one question.. why swords and armours are taken from diablo?
They might get serious problems regarding copyrights...
Sorry, but NetHack (the 2nd best game ever(after A.D.O.M.)) wont fit into
mere 4mb. Executable yes, but you would not be able to play it, because each level takes quite a bit of memory.
look at explanations on http://nethack.sourceforge.net/common/info.html#not
Damn, I really like nethack as well.

Maybe good news 😊
I'm just working on Dragonfire, it's a relatively small rpg for Series 60.
Although the real target is Legacy, but i'll be a huge work and a challenge 😊
Both of them can be found on www.redshift.hu. I mean the shots for:
- Dragonfire communicator, palm
- Legacy palm,ppc,communicator,uiq
Well, we really want to list "series 60" for both games!
The memory... Legacy would need about 2-2.5 MB execution memory. On most (all?) Series 60 devices, it's available, I think.

Im having problems installing with the 3650, keep getting the low memory delete some files message.
Yea, it's a problem on 36xx (we have a 3650, too).
The problem is, on 3650, the "execution memory" means the "free main memory". When you install something, then execution memory is needed.
Without deleting some files from the main memory of your device, you can't install the game, sorry.

Exactly how much do i need to delete? I had 2 midi files that sumed up to 300k and i still got problems.
I think ill make a backup of everything and then delete alot of things and retry, im just unsure of what to delete without deleting something crucial...
Not sure... I simply copy the sis via bluetooth to the device, then open the bluetooth message. With opening, the system copies the .sis to the Installation area.
Well, sometimes I got the same... but if I try open the message again, at once, then it works.

I dont have bluetooth i do it by mmc ( i have a reader on the pc ). Maybe thats why i cant get it to work perhaps?
dunno...
Please try to delete some files from the main memory and let's see the result 😊

I already cleaned up until there was nothing but system files and still no luck :?
