Problem with Screen Saver App

Does anyone have problems with an error coming up while talking on the phone saying Error With Screen Saver App Now Closing. My X has began getting this error quite often now and was wondering if anyone has had the problem and how they resolved it. I tried turning the phone off and then turning it back on but no luck.

Sounds like a problem with 3rd party application or data.
First back up the phone contacts, data, and applications then carry out a master reset (power off, then power on while pressing down 5).
Also, make sure you have the latest firmware by dialling *#0000# and the latest version is version 1.98.5.2

Thanx for the suggestion. I tried it out seemed to work for a bit and then the same problem again. As far as firmware i do have the latest one.

sly - what i have found with these off the wall things is to reflash the phone (again) and then reformat it (again). this has "cured" several issues for me along the way. good luck.

Thanx i have done what you have said and so far it is working. Only on question though, when restoring back from the memory card it say could not copy two files. I have no iea what they are. You had this issue before. Kind weird, i hope the new firmware sorts these small glitches out. Thanx again for the help.

The "unable to restore 1 /2 / 3" files issue is a Symbian issue, not directly Sendo's issue. They do know about the problem (obviously) and will be lookimg for a fix.

However, the files it fails to restore always seem to be ones which don't matter to actually getting the data back onto the phone, so you can be assured that everything you've got on your phone will still be working 😊

Thank you stu. I was wondering if those were the file that had to do with the screen saver app. Still having the problem but i guess i will have to deal with it. 😊

Yes the problem came back but i guess i will deal with the fact the screen saver doesn't work at times. 😞

are you using a third party screen saver application? if not, what settings are you using for the screen saver - perhaps i can duplicate it.

No not using a third party app just the one that came on the phone. Settings are set to date and time and time is set to 1 min.

perhaps set it to the defaults, disable it altogether, or set it for a longer period... if the reflash/reformtat did not take care of it i can't think of anything else 😞

After a a day of new settings i get the same issue, except for a new error has come up saying something to do with the log. I have no idea what has gotten in to my phone, nothing like this has ever happened, but i will deal with it. Again thanx for the help. Maybe i will reformat and reflash the phone and see what happens again. Thanks again for the info.
