Sorry to ask, im kinda new nokia user(N6670). I've d/loaded a few themes for various sites but i cant seem to be a ble to install into my phone. can some kind hearted soul out there help me. PLS....
those themes i d/loaded are .sis files. i extracted the file into .mbm n .skn files, still it cannot work. When i copy the files into the memory card under the SYSTEM> SKINS folder, i cant open the themes folder on my phone. It cannot be opened at all. Anybody out there knows why? PLS HELP!! THANKS ALOT!!!
Send the .sis files as-is to your phone over infrared or Bluetooth from your PC, then open them from your Inbox on the phone & the installer starts. After the installation is complete, use the Themes app to select it/them as you would with a built-in theme.
You can also use the Application Installer of PC Suite (http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite) to install themese (works also over the USB cable).
Or you can put the .sis files on the phone or memory card using PC Suite's Phone Browser, or a PC-based memory card reader, and then use the "Manager" app to install them.
Or you can download them directly from a web or WAP server with the phone's browser.
Or you can send them as email attachments to an email address (mailbox) which you have set up the phone's Messaging app to access.
It might be a good idea to read through the phone's User's Guide for all sorts of useful stuff you can do with the phone, which may be hard to discover on your own.
