Nokia 6630 questions

This is wierd, I posted this yesterday and the post never appeared - anyway, I'll press on again 8-)

AAS's Steve Litchfield here - can a 6630 owner help me with a few questions, for an article promoting Symbian smartphones?

1)I presume the 6630 has a standard Pop-Port connector?
2)What built-in app(s) is(/are) used for MP3 playback?
3)Does OggPlay work in full stereo?
4)What's the output volume like?

Thanks in advance
Steve Litchfield

Thanks! How do you select albums in RealPlayer, is it a folder-by-folder thing, as on the 9500?

Also, any chance of someone else in here trying OggPlay for me. I can email over a sample Ogg file if needed.

Thanks all,

Steve Litchfield

Ok pal send a small ogg file to [email protected] try and make it around 600kb coz i got a download limit of 1mb! Also the volume on the 6630 isnt very loud, altho its probably just rite for sum users!

To play music u must make a music list, u add the traks u want to the list then wen u open track list the tracks play however u want them to! In the track list u can move, delete, add file, etc..

Hi!...

I have a 6630 and i tested all the Mp3 players availables...

- Mp3go (no stereo and dont support hi bit rates mp3s)
- UltraMp3 (good sound but too much loaded cpu used in the interface visual fx etc that make the mp3 decode more noisy)
- Mp3Player (the second place on quality sound after OggPlay)
- RealPlayer (build in app to play from the phone gallery) ... good but "Mp3Player" app its better.

i tested OggPlay 1.6.4 MMF version (the lastest) .. and it win to any other S60 mp3 player... in sound quality and performance ... (totally stereo of course and very loud with no distortion at all at max volume)

I think that is because OggPlay use the build in codecs on the phone ...

The best test on quality sound its simple... when you put the volume at CERO level... on OggPlay you will ear NOT SOUND at all (not noise not nothing) even with one bar of volume, you will begin to ear clean music (not noise over it) ..

All the rest of Mp3 players (even the build in one) ... at cero volume bar or one bar... you will ear a BIG and continues background noise , and all the quality, detail, and ambience of the music its not as good as with OggPlay ...

Cya!
