I can't find a specific forum for the Nseries so I will use this one....
I was thinking about Nokia's position on supporting video calls in their 3G phones... they just don't seem to believe that 3G phones must support videocalls! Look at the new Nseries phones: 2 out of 3 phones don't support it! Even the N91 which will be the most expensive of the bunch will not have it.
I thought videocalls were still the only service where you can see the difference between a GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone and a 3G phone, (unless you use the phone as modem and perform some heavy file transfer...) If I think about my 6630 I almost prefer using it as GSM/GPRS/EDGE only phone for web browsing, instant messaging and email as the battery lasts much longer!!

Are you, personally, of the opinion that all 3G phones must support videocalls?
I'm not.
My 3G needs are satisfied with faster browsing, faster email, faster data/file transfer in other phone applications and faster cellular network access from a PC through my 3G phone.
Instead of videocalls, I see video sharing being more useful (and for that, I don't need a camera pointed at my face, but rather to the opposite direction of the phone display).
And by the way the N90 supports 2-way videocalling.
If you are in the camera-mode, you can turn the camera around 180 degrees to face yourself.

i agree with you,3G is more about faster downloads, streaming and sending than about the videocalls, which are not really practical ... maybe its good to try sometimes, but not to use it more often
I haven't said that I love videocalls (have yet to participate in the first videocall of my life)! I am just saying that for the general public the only service that you can't have with a GSM/GPRS phone compared to a 3G one is the videocall (and soon TV perhaps).
And let's be honest: the speed difference between EDGE and UMTS when using in-phone applications is almost unnoticeable!!! With the added bonus that your battery lasts 4 days rather than 1!
I stand corrected regarding the N90: it supports two-way video calls.... so the only one that doesn't support it is the N91 (my favorite)....
