Hi Jordan. I am waiting for some stuff from Rafe about the admin of SymbianThemes.com.

From what I understand all of the admins get these reports, but if it helps for moment, I will check/action all the reported files so you can just bin them or setup a mail rule/filter.

I wouldn't mind so much if the users actually used it for it's indented use!

Jordan - have removed you as a moderator so you should stop getting these messages. Sorry you didnt get a response before.

How about the following (This is just an idea)

Is this file inappropriate for the Symbian Themes library?

Does it contain:-
Hardcore pornography
Have links to violence and/or terrorism
Incite hatred towards certain groups (such as racism or homophobia)?
An adult file not in the adult category?
Or, there another problem with the file that you think we should know about?

If so, please fill out this form.

This form is NOT for saying hello, good file, asking a question about a file or requesting it be sent to you.

Please Note:- Inappropriate use of the reporting tool is likely to get you banned or your messages moderated on the group.

What about the text translated (maybe through a language select menu) into various languages?? If so can anyone translate?? Would rather not use translation software.

Thanks for doing this, I very rarely visit the site (I don't own a skinnable phone) so having Moderator status is a little pointless anyway. Having said that, if the system was used correctly like the post reporting system on this forum then I wouldn't mind monitoring it 😉

That is a great idea, explaining a little clearer is the way to go and will probably stop the abuse of the reporting system. :icon14:

Ok, still thinking about this!

How about pull-down menus with options like:-
Phone
PC & OS
File downloaded (SIS or ZIP)
Transfer method
Problem (Corrupted, incorrect images on site, Hardcore pornography, Links to violence and/or terrorism, Racist/homophobic, Adult file not in the adult category?)

And will only send when all options selected and email address inserted.

Basically we would do away completely with the free text box!

Switchblade - Its in the 'roadmap'. i.e. Good idea, just got to get round to it. PHP volunteers interesed in reworking the entire code and adding S80 / UIQ - please apply... 😊

Heh, I think we need a publiscised to-do list so some of us know what needs doing that we can help out with. Currently and slowly reworking my site into PHP/SQL but may have a look after, might be too much for me mind.
