Are you expecting that with the new firmware, the x will have the same performance of the x2? (same hardware and software)
If not, would you consider that it's to "force" x users to upgrade?

New x firmware
The new X firmware will not allow the phone to perform to the same level as the X2 - although both phones are based on the same hardware platform, there are significant differences between the models; not least the markets they're being aimed at.
The next firmware for the X WILL fix a lot of the bugs in the current release, and hopefully will give some more free RAM, but it won't be to the same level as the X2 firmwares.
This is NOT being done to "force" users to upgrade to X2 - infact Sendo have publicly said that they're not discontinuing X development just because X2 is being released.
So, what are the differences on the x2 that allow big differences in speed?
Same cpu, same o.s. version, the now! will be diferent than today to be more similar to the x2 (themes support, for ex.).
More free ram than x? Better drivers? Better hardware managment? If so, and because hard/software is so similar, why not apply the same thing to the x? Impossible? 🙄
I think the main improvement will be, that you probably can use it as a phone :frown:
As far as I recall there have been messages around announcing the new firmware to be released soon, as minimum as often as I sent my phone to servie for mic fixing..
Don't count on that.
The mic is a hardware problem, not a software problem.
