Hi,
Can anyone please help?
I have been running tom tom mobile on my 7610 for a couple of weeks however i have just changed my 7610 for another and now everytime i start the application it freezes between each key stroke and i have to keep coming out and back into the application to get anywhere?
Any ideas?
I have just got my 7610 and have TomTom Mobile 4 that I was running on my SPVC500 SmartPhone. I've copied all the files over to the Nokia memory card and get the symtoms you describe, the program freezes everytime you press a key, basically rendering the program useless.
TomTom say it is compatible but the latest compatibility list is for version 5 not 4. My upgrade to V5 is on it's way so I'll let you know if it's any different when it arrives.

did you download tom tom off the internet or did you actually buy it?
I am having the exact same problem with the nokia 7610, the application (tomtom mobile) freezes in between each keystroke and it's driving me mad. Can anyone help. Fishy: Did you get anywhere with it????
Thanks all
Hoppy.
Cancel my last request. a mate came down with the same phone so i tried the card in his... it worked straight away!! The only difference seemed to be that he had his bluetooth switched on, so i tried it back in mine with the bluetooth activated and it worked straight away! I know that seemed daft cos its designed to work with a bluetooth gps, but i havent got it yet and i was just trying to get the software working 1st.
So in short, switch on your bluetooth and it should work. also in my searching for answers ive found out about a prob with linking it to a non genuine gps unit (ie not tomtom), you need to rename the numbered folder that was installed with the software, to anything but its current name.
hope this helps
