I've backup my messaging only on the MMC. Formated the 9500.
now when I restore the backup, and reboot it, it still doesn't show any messages.
cany any one help me here?? I've even tried to move the folders manully from the backup folder to c:\system\mail
but that didn't work either...
any ideas??

I've exactly the same problem. I bought even the application for my 9500 called "Symbian FileExplorer", which allows you to acces the C:\System\Mail folder trought bluetooth via PC... but the file is marked as 'read-only' or whatever, so you can't overwrite the file....
When you restore messaging from your MMC, only the "index" file which is in the root of the "Mail" directory will not be restored.
Can someone help me/us??
What firmware versions have you both got? You should try rebooting the phone by removing the battery, and then when its on, dont open the Messaging Application. Just restore the backup straight away.

I tried that already (of course)... Not even one (except for the backup application) is running. A reboot, and immediately after the restore.
Any other ideas???????
