Do you guys think that the earpiece volume in Nokia 6680 is a little bit too low even with the volume all the way up or is it just me who is feeling this or may be my device is defective. I just bought this phone like 3 days back.

Agree. Volume is to low. Even on high setting. Hopefully they will fix it in the next firmware update.
6630 was better in this respect, but otherwise 6680 is superior.
The volume is quite loud on mine.

Sorry! but i think that 6630 it�s faster in the menus, interface and starting up every app because it�s 16 bit colours display and 6680 it�s 18 bits colours using the same cpu speed than 6630 (233 mhz)... so it�s always more loaded (slower)
benchmark software confirm that too...

I disagree running my 6680 next to my 6630, the 6680 opens the menus faster everytime, the only thing I can find that is slower on the 6680 is that it takes longer to turn on / Boot up after it has been switched off.

I also face the same issue. I am from India. I take the phone to nokia service center. They change the EarPice(as per their word, i am not sure). After that somewhat ok. still volume is not comparable to 6630 or 6600.

if your nokia 6680 phone made in finland earpiece volume is high and enough but if in the fareast this can be probably the reason, if its writing made by nokia that means your phone made in taiwan or korea unfortunatelly, this is really the important point when buy a nokia phone that they are not using quality parts while producing their phones for the fareast countries, like earpiece or other parts inside of their phones.
I am sorry but this is not true. I have a 6680 made in Finland and the loudest setting is too quiet. It is much quiet than a 6630.

why does everyone think benchmarking is the god of all measurement?
in real life, its fast, working with real life applications...
and more colours look better, whats the point :P
my earpiece volume isnt Loud by the way, but its satisfactory i guess, coudl be better... i have v 2.04
my 6680 is just fine and made in finland

Do you own a 6680 ?
I own both phones and although I wouldn't recommend upgrading from a 6630, I would go for the 6680 if I owned neither. IMO Better phone - Speed difference neglible
Back to topic Ear piece sound on 6630 is better, but 6680 is OK. I have v2.04 Firmware and a Finland phone. Just make sure you have connected ear piece properly. Jiggling connector can improve sound.
Is there any software to INCREASE the volume or a VOLUME CONTROL programme?

I agree it's much too quite, also handsfree is impossible to hear outdoors..

dont know what ure talking about cuz my 6680 and my friends 6680 ( i have the 2.04 firmware and he has the new one) are much better than the 6630, alot of people here have the 6630 and i have used them

My Nokia 6680 (firmware:V 2.04.15 Date:04-03-05) also has a very low volume level. Can anyone confirm if upgrading to a later firmware version will resolve this issue?
My handset is locked to the "3" network...does anyone what the latest "3" firmware version is?

My Nokia 6680, (V 3.04.11 14-04-05 RM-36) has perfect volume control, and the sound quality is brilliant with my HDS-3. So, maybe it is my later firmware fellowship. Locked on o2 btw.
