Nokia 7610 greyed out in Phone Selector of PC Suite 6.41.6 while using bluetooth

Hi,

I have successfully connected my 7610 with Nokia PC Suite (6.41.6) using bluetooth connectivity. I have been able transfer files and also refresh contact list. However when I try to SMS using PC Suite the phone appears greyed out in the Phone Selector box. The Help text indicates that ..."If a phone name is disabled (grey), the phone in question is not supported by the application you are using."...

What am I missing ?

You are not missing anything, but the phone is missing the "counterpart" of the PC Suite text messaging application. Currently no Series 60 phone has that, I'm afraid.

In the meanwhile, if you have Windows XP on your PC, search for "Microsoft SMS Sender" on Microsoft's web site. It can be used to send SMS on a PC.
