N-Gage QD - Memory Full will not start

2 replies · 4,139 views · Started 24 May 2005

Bought my son an N-Gage and the limited warrenty will not cover it in the UK. He loaded up some software and now when he trys to start it, it goes NOKIA screen........... then memory full...Device start-up problem.

Any ideas/solutions besides from taking it to the NOKIA shop or trashing it would be greatful.

Thanks

Besides the "besides from" options you listed, I don't think there's a solution (unless you want to buy relatively expensive flashing equipment and find illegally distributed firmware files and learn how to handle those together).

If your phone managed to wake up, immediately format your phone: type this code: *#7370# this will soft format your phone

I succeeded to wake my phone up with trying to load (on-off) it several times, removing the battery and inserting it again.

If the phone failed several times, try safe mode.. while turning on the phone, hold the pencil button (bottom right).

If it doesnt work, try to turn on the phone without the mmc. Once it suceeds format your phone.

If any of this doesnt work, NOKIA center is the way to go. Good luck.
