Why not use oggplay? You only have to convert your mp3's once. Then you can store much more songs in the .ogg format. What I love best is that it stops playing when you receive a call and goes on when you end the call. 😊

Iam using oggplayer , still i have problems , am missing many calls , thts y just want know abt the new firmware
While I can't promise that the next firmware is going to fix the MP3 / calls issue, I *DO* know that Sendo have been working on the issue...

Mmm, that sounds strange...Which version do you use? I use the "OggPlay-s60-1.0.4" version, indicated at the website as an unstable version. But it works fine for me. As mentioned above, the phone stops playing when receiving calls and goes on playing when ending a call. Really works great! 😊

I am not sure , when i boot up its says vodaphone .Igot it through ebay mordrerd
Hi all,
first, please to tolerate my poor English.i am a chinese.
i think the problem that is not related to the mmc\sd or the software.i tested many kinds of cards and used the ogg and the mp3 player which the phone has already. i found they all will have the problem.(i use the version is X1.98.5.2 )
so i boot up my phone again , the problem was solved. and play the avi the problem came out again. so boot up again, the phenomena don't come out. no matter the 320kbs or 128kbs mp3 file,i all could receive call when listening.
but play the avi files, the problem could not solved.boot is not useful.(i use the smartmovie to play the avi)
hope everybody discuss.

(I've already reported this to Sendo)
stuclark wrote:I have just tested this, using the same firmware, and unfortunately can confirm that while playing a movie in SmartMovie, my phone does not receive calls. 😞funny 😃 how come stuc u have the most stable phone, wow i have to wrote some where, stuck said something negative about hes most beloved X(cough crap cough) 😊(I've already reported this to Sendo)
I think part of the problem is which particular version you have. Certainly the eXpansys version seem a little more stable than the Vodaphone versions.
Example: Agile Messenger. Stu can use the latest version but when myself or Mordred try it (we both have Vodafone versions) we get an error during the charging sequence. The app otherwise works fine...
We'll just have to wait and see what happens after the latest firmware update.
honestly i think it varies by handset - i don't know how that is possible, but it does
for instance - i have two voda's and one expansys. we will call them numbers 1-3 in the order purchased. 1 and 2 are voda, 3 is expansys.
number 1 phone has NO issues with AVI or MP3 playback blocking incoming calls. 2 and 3 do. ALL phones are on the same network, the same SIM type, playing the same MP3 with the same firmware.
number 3 arrived with the "newer" firmware but still had the MP3 bug. i flashed to the web version and it STILL has the MP3 bug. so... it would appear that the "newer" firmware (i know this is not the final release of the newest to come) still does not fix this problem.
now back to my original comment - i think it varies by handset as you can clearly see from the above examples. why it would be like this, i do not know, but it clearly is (from my stand point).

agreed - the highest "working" version of agile that i have got to work on all three handsets is 3.30. now, 3.13 is the most reliable from a connection stand point.
see the comments i posted over at sendosmartphones...

THAT IS the Problem. The new firmware do fix the bug (up to 95%). But there are a few handsets, whichs refuse to get debuged 😃
It is a strange problem and Sendo is working on it ...
dragon - expand on that a little if you will please... or IM me. thanks.
Mordred 660 wrote:dragon - expand on that a little if you will please... or IM me. thanks.Sorry, not allowed due to NDA ...
dragon-tmd wrote:...there are a few handsets, whichs refuse to get debuged 😃 It is a strange problem and Sendo is working on it ...
ok - given this, i would like to get a quick poll going of who has what version of the handset and do you or do you not have the mp3 bug. i am interested in the part that dragon mentions about some handsets refusing to get "de-bugged".
@dragon - i understand about the NDA and would never ask you or anyone else to violate it. what i do ask is that snedo address this in an open forum somewhere... they owe an answer to those that have purchased their product. using their phone, with their software and it still does not work 100% is just not right. thanks 😊
As I understand it, the issue is to do with how the phone re-flashes itself with a new firmware.
I found one issue for Sendo, whereby the phone sometimes was wiping information that it wasn't meant to, and I think what Dragon is refering to is basically the opposite - some handsets don't seem to overwrite some files which they should.
i test the phone again. when i turn down the music ,i could receive call.but turning up, i couldn
't receive. It may have something with the cpu frequency. is it too low?( 120M arm)

you mean to the lowest level? what level was it originally and what level did you have to go down to in order to receive a call? thanks.
Roc13 wrote:i test the phone again. when i turn down the music ,i could receive call.but turning up, i couldnThis is just a plain coincidence. The problem starts at the moment you start playing a MP3, regardless of the sound level ...
