any ideas why and how to cure, four times in an afternoon is a bit much
6630 turning itself off !! WTF !!
i have exactly the same problem with my voda 6630
as someone else mentioned in another thread, this could be happening when the 3G signal isnt strong enough and the phone keeps changing from 3G to GSM
i dont know if this is in fact fixed in the latest firmware, but its very annoying!
u need to upgrade ur firmware, it should be possible with any of ur network contracts. It happens because most likely ur phones are having the first firmware which is v 2. something.. It happens when ur phones switches between the GSM and the 3G areas, the phone does not have the ability to switch back and thereby gets stuck and issues such that u are talking about occurs..
This is the knowledge i've gathered from what i've read and heard.
Dang but at least u guys can use ur Nokia 6630's mine's locked to 3 and still cannot get it unlocked 😞
install nokia field test..and force it to gsm..
i have 2. something firmware..
everything works handy dandy..

I phoned head office and mad a big fuss and they sent me a new phone, which thankfully had the new firmware (well newer) which is 4.03.18 . So far no problems 😃.
And at last my screensaver tells me when i have a message
