This new battery technology adds a whole new twist to worries about irradiating your head! Full story over at engadget.
Nuclear-powered smartphones?
i remember nec was developing a battery that can be charged in 30 seconds like lasy year should be out somtime soon in cell phones, and some other company was making beer powered cell phones
It was Toshiba, not NEC, but it is still at least a year away from commercial availability:

Lol at the people commenting who've got no idea about radiation. Radioactive material in a battery does not a bomb make, if it did then nuclear weapons would be far easier to manufacture.
is it just an improvement or remarketing of the earlier technolog that was offering shorter charge time but less power per volume or weight of the battery?
Looks like smartphone technology has a glowing future..... 🙄
