I read several posts about the camera that automatically starts when you turn the screen on your nokia 6260, but unfortunatly none of these posts give the answer. Therefor this new post with only one question:
How can I prevent the camera software from starting up automatically when I turn the screen.
I really hope I get an answer to this because it is so annoying. Thanks for helping me!

No can do. No "fix" for that exists. Try this as a workaround: Turn the screen first to the other direction, and then to the direction that otherwise launches the camera app.
I don't know what the fusses is all about. How long does it take to push exit?
I think the idea is to go into browse mode without camera mode turning on.
First open up the phone (L shape), then turn the screen all the way around and flip it back down to browse mode(make sure this in one instant, don't hesitate). If you're doing this right, the camera mode doesn't turn on. If you pause after you have turn the screen around and then flip it back down, the camera mode will surely turn on.
I hope someone will get this right and agree with me.
Yeah once you get used to the phone and remember which way to turn it to go all the way around to browse mode it's easy to do it without activating the camera.
But I do think it would have been a smart move for nokia to make the auto activation of it optional.

Im able to twist my screen and then land it on the keypad without startn the camera, Personally i think its a pretty cool option, i dont need to go into menu every time i awnt to use the cam..
but each to his own.
