I want to buy some 128mb MMC cards for my 9210i. i read somewhere in the forum that all MMC card are the same, could you please enumerate which online stores sell the cheapest MMC cards?

I bought one at www.dane-elec.com, but i don't know if it is the better price on the web...

Ivan

I know this may sound thick ... but I am wondering wether I can swap the 16 MB card in my 9210 for a 128 or 256 MB card that I might buy from one of these sites.

Is it an MMC card or an SD card as shown on http://www.timasci.com/mmc.htm for instance.

What are the issues? Is it just a straight card replacement beside the SIM (and worry about your data that might be on there thru backup), or is there more to the story.

Many thanks for your help in advance

A mmc is just a storage device, you only have to worry about the data on the mmc.
When I moved from my previous 16mb to my 32mb I copied averything from my 16 mb to the pc and back on the 32mb.
But that is not necesairy, just back up your messages and contacts.

SD isn't useable in any case (don't let salespersons fool you)
Only when it says MMC (max storage can't be more than 128mb! so if the back of the box says also available in 256/512mb like on the sd box then you don't have a mmc) you'll be sure.

Ta very much ... I fink I will get 1 then ... sick to death of having to uninstall sw so that I can put on PDF reader etc.

So I did already -except the cost was 47 plus VAT ... which aint too bad I spose.

47+ VAT is the best I've seen. It used to be a lot more...I assume you ordered from Crucial UK then. My experience so far is that the claimed next day delivery works as promised. I just bought another 128MB card today, so we'll see if they can maintain the 100% record.
