Unlocking and stuff

I purchased a 3230 this week in the Philippines, but when I got home it was giving me problem booting up. I tried with my Tmobile gsm chip then I tried with the one I used in Philippines, but finally it booted up. I would keep going to a blank white screen. Then it finally booted up, so I will leave it alone for a while, then try with my tmobile gsm tomorrow. Has anyone had this problem? Could it be that it is not unlocked? They said it was when I bought it. Or is it just glitchy? There was a list of comands for the 6600 to check if latest firmware and stuff. Is there a list for the 3230 like that?

Sounds like its glitchy - even when locked it should boot up (but will give you an error message about the sim card).

You can use the same commands on the 3230 and the 6600 for the most part (certainly for stuff like firmware).

for the 411. Yeah it booted up a couple times, but then didn't after. Not sure why it would do it some of the time. It said sim card rejected and would say insert sim card, but it did boot up with the sim card a couple times.

it says "sim card rejected" and will never boot up with tmobile sim. But it did boot up couple times with smart card sim, which is the pay as you go one I used in Philippines. It worked perfectly while I would there too. Wonder what I can do? Wonder if there is a place here in the states that can reinstall the firmware?

I was trying now with the smart sim, but it just asks for sim code(I put one on it) then when I start typing it in, it just fades away and shuts off.
