esterday I was exploring my n-gage symbian capabilities. When, I found that apps on C: are executed primarily than Z: (rom). I found this, copying the menu app from n-gage QD Z:\system\apps (QD has newer symbian OS than classical) to my n-gage classical C:\system\apps. I rebooted my n-gage and after booting again, what I found? when pressing the menu key -> System Error.
This was a test that gave me some conclusions. After that, I did *#7370# for full C: format. But guess what? the C:\system\apps\menu folder after formating is still there!! 😡 I tried the *#7780# too, but the menu app is still there! So.. I cant exec none of my apps without menu!
Please help me. How do I delete the menu app?
NOTE: I formated my n-gage some time ago, using *#7370#. All worked fine. But I cant remember what happened after the NOKIA logo. After the phone requesting for the date-time, shows up a progress bar??
Now I would like if my n-gage is formating good. At least, it looks like yes. After formating the phone gets with the default look. But the menu doesn work!!
TIP: I think copying the whole Z:\system from QD to C:\ classical n-gage, will put classical n-gage with newer symbian version. I would tried that if not this stupid thing happened! :frown:
