I just got a Sendo X from eBay and am generally happy with the phone except the sound quality is pretty bad. When listening to any kind of audio, be it voice calls, ring tones or mp3's, the audio is always peppered with crackling noises. This is especially evident when listening through the headphones. Is this a known issue or am I one of the unlucky ones who got a bad phone? I am running firmware version 1.98.5.2.
Bad sound quality...
Sounds like a hardware problem. Unfortunately as you bought it from ebay it doesnt carry a warranty so you need an out of warranty repair from the service repair centre in the country you bought it and this will be chargeable.

The Sendo X is too new for Sendo to worry about warranty dates. You should have any problem regardless of where you purchased your sendo.
It is still cover by warranty.

The warranty issue can be easily solved: They check your IMEI and see how old your phone is.
You you even do not need a regular bill for that 😃
Just call or go to your local service center for repairs.

I didnt mention anything about warranty dates. The point i was making was the warranty is for the country it was originally purchased from so that you can refer to that countries service centre with the original receipt.

Do you work for Sendo X?
If not, let Plinky Kev answer this one.

No, and there is no need to doubt me.
I know this because i asked a similar question of Sendo Online Support previously and that is the reply i got.
Basically, it is not a "global" warranty which means if you bought it in the UK and go abroad you have to send it to the UK service centre not your local country. Even then you may need to pay carriage costs for them to return it outside of the country it was purchased. Also, you need to provide a valid proof of purchase for a retailer in the country it was supplied to.
I bought my phone from an eBay supplier in the UK who was unloading some excess Vodaphone inventory. Since I live in the US does this mean I'm SOL as far as warranty repair is concerned? Or do I need to send the phone back to the UK for repair?
blotto - if you visit the sendo homepage somewhere there is alink that has the service centers. our nearest one in the US is in alabama.
