How to Transfer to a new MMC

Could someone tell me what is the best way to transfer all the programs and data from an old MMC to a new one. I am thinking of getting a bigger mem MMC but afraid that it may not work as I can see that there are quite a lot of stuff/programs actually reside on the MMC.

Did what you mention above for my mate and his 7610, took his 64meg card and copied all files including hidden files to a pc using a card reader (ensure hidden files are visable in the options) then put the new card in, make sure its setup for FAT format and copy everything back. His 128meg worked perfectly, however on my 3230 for some reason swapping cards around resulted in my operational card not working, but i reinstalled all the programs and all was ok, i recommend you do not use the hot plugable option of the 3230, remove the battery before taking out the card, then the phone will not know about the change when the new larger capacity goes in. DO NOT ERASE YOUR OLD CARD, not until the have tested the new one is working perfectly!!!! Also if you use the MSdriveE program you may need to run it again and/or setup your selected theme. Otherwise it should not be a problem.

Duke.

Got my replacement 512meg card today from moby and it worked this time, so used card reader again in pc to copy everything off old 32meg card to pc, then copied it all back onto the new 512meg card, slotted in phone, had to run MSGdriveE program to convert my settings for the inbox back to the MMC and reapplied the theme i had installed and hay presto, instant upgrade 😃
