Wireless Data Back Up

Hi

Given the problems, the need for firmware updating and the dependence many place on the 9210, what do you think about having the ability to back up your contacts, calanedar and other important data wirelessly?

Let me have your comments.

Thanks

Any way to back up such important data is good. Unfortunately (no offence Nokia) I don't trust the PC suite software that came with my phone to do the job it's meant too. This has lead to a fear of formatting my device in case all my contacts are lost, but looking at it that needs to be done.

Something simple like that would definately be nice. Well off I go to see if PC Suite will work.

Hi Flipside

I think there is an advantage being able to back up without going through PC Suite or other such media. At some point, the phone will not rely on the PC and some of the people on the cutting edge appear to be looking for how we will interact with our phones into the future.

I have had trouble with PC Suite and its apparent limitations myself. Maybe a USB version may come out one day and be faster and more reliable.

Hi

I back up my phone onto the memory card. What would I use SyncML and wireless backup for?

I thought this is what Remote Sync which comes on the 9210 CD is for???
