Audio glitches on mp3 playback.

I haven't used my 9500 for much music listening until now, but I have noticed at very irregular intervals there is a glitch (like a digital dropout) perhaps every minute or so. The mp3 are fine as I listen to them on my PC, and I have tried the in built mp3 player and ogg player, maybe I will try ogg files next.
It reminds me of a problem I had on a small mp3 player I owned, I put it down to a bad memory chip in the device at the time, I never expected to hear it on my 9500.
Anyone else get it?
Any ideas?

It's the Wi-Fi scanning. Turn this off/down in Control panel.
