Hi there,

I managed to brake the handsfree pin inside my phone. Since then, although it doesn't show up as a handsfree is connected I get no output from the speaker when talking (the ring speaker on the back of the phone works just fine). So I assumed the problem was the broken bit in the handsfree hole, so I opened up the phone and removed it, but I still have the same problem.

I have since bought a new phone, but would like to fix this one so that I will have it as a backup.

Anyone have any clue what else I should check for?

Regards,
Michael

I sincerely think that you should have gone to a nokia service station straightaway after breaking your handsfree pin. But as you say that you have opned the phone yourself that means you have voided the warranty !!! But still I suggest to take your phone to a nokia service station. :icon14:

Well I had no warranty even before I opened up the phone (I bought the phone as soon as it came out, and that's much more than a year!).

I insist on fixing this phone on my own, it's a matter of self-respect!

Anyone knows how the handsfree detection circuit works?

Cheers...
