Can send but not receive Email

Another quirky problem with email....

My 9500 has two accounts with EXACTLY the same login details as my Outlook on my PC...
The two accounts being to either connect via GPRS or via Wifi (See the other post about this BUG). - ther than that, they are set up identically.

Now I can Receive emails perfectly on both account types...
However, if i try & either reply or creat a mail... basically SEND a mail...
It times out with a connection failure message...It even does this on WIFI.....
So what gives......I cannot for the life of me spot the error, as it matched the params exactly in my Outlook that DOES connect perfectly...

One 'hint' that i do notice is that.... when receiving email.... i see either the GPRS 'G' or the wifi 'W' connection icon, during the receive phase....... It then drop the connection once reciept is complete....

However i do notice that when sending, the 'outbox' icon appears on the left side (the little tray with the up arrow).... but NO connection Icon appears..... So it seems the phone is being stupid & NOT trying to connect to anything, so that it CAN send the email!!!???? -

Assistance please would be much appreciated.
cheers

Most ISPs only allow machines connected through their own network to use their SMTP-servers in order to prevent spammers from using the server to spread their trash. Your stationary PC is of course connected directly, but maybe your 9500 is not percieved as such from your ISPs point of wiev. Thus your trusty breadbox could be barred from sending mail through your usual SMTP-server.

If this is the case you can either use the SMTP-server of your GPRS-carrier for sending mail (if they have one - I think they mostly do - mine does) or you can try filling in the SMPT-authorization settings in the communicators message setup. Try using your DSL-login and password...
