Running out of memory. How to fix?

2 replies · 1,941 views · Started 06 June 2005

I recently purchased a QD and have a few questions.

1.) I am trying to install NetFront and a few other programs. Every time I try to install NetFront I get a warning message telling me I am running out of memory. I have checked my phones memory using FExplorer. It says that I have 2.218 MB flash memory out of 3.997 MB. RAM memoryis 377.0 KB out of 379.5 KB. I also have a 512 MB MMC card.
Is 2.218 not enough flash memory? If so what folders should I look in? Obviously I dont want to start deleting the wrong folders.

2.) Is there any folder, menu, or program I should be using to uninstall programs? Is there a specific folder I should look in? I have a few that I want to remove from my QD and it's menu. I deleted the file on my MMC card but the shortcut still shows up in the menu screen.

Any help would be most appreciated.

thanks 😊

There is a folder system\apps\

And there is built in application called App manager

Hope this helps
Cheers

Hello,

Maybe you are trying to install that aplication, by openning the sis file with Fxplorer, and not with phones menu. If you are doing this, stop doing this way, because you're coping the file first to the phone's memory, and then again using the memory to install it!
Go to c:\nokia\install and erase this folder. Now in
