I have created a serial connection no probz.......it says its connected to COM 0 but in the mRouter it says conected on COM 6 !?!?! When i start PC Suite it says i havent established a conection - can anyone help me out?

cheerz

Start by trying to get it to connect to COM4. I also have the MSI Bluetooth key and only COM4 seems to work with the PC suite for me.

Is there any way to change which com port it uses? In the Mrouter i checked all of them but only COM6 seemed to work - on COM4 it keeps saying "connecting" but never connects........

Which version of The WidComm software are u using?

Try to download the latest version from the MSI website!

tried that - they didnt have anything that helped.......it seems to only connect to COM6 - and COM4 isnt appearing in the device manger either! Is it spose to use COM4?!?!

Go to the BT configuration, under Local Services see what port The Bluetooth Serial Port uses! Mine is COM4....so I neet to check the COM4 and COM5 box at the same time in mRouter!

I connect on com5, but I also need to check com 4, otherwise it won't connect. I had the same problem as you, but I just checked all boxes, and it connected on one. Just try everything...

I tried changing the COM ports in the configuration - it will connect to whichever COM port i choose in MRouter but wont connect to PC Suite! Is there any other tricks to get it to connect or any other way to transfer info from the fone?

cheers

Heres what i did BEFORE i followed your instructions (hope it helps someone if they r havin probz)

1. Uninstall pc suite AND widcomm software.

2. Install pc suite - then restart

3. Set up the Mrouter(tick all the boxes if ur not sure)

4. Install Widcomm software - then restart

5. Start pc suite (fingers crossed)

Thats what worked for me - i think its coz i ticked the mrouter boxes BEFORE i installed the Widcomm.......i dunno but it worked!
